A Wonderful Quote: We Live Outside the Touch of Time

On Memorial Day, after spending time with my family and then enjoying the photos they were posting on Facebook, I searched for a quote about siblings and found this one.

The last line describes perfectly the emotion I was experiencing as I thought about my brothers and sisters.

To the outside world, we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other’s hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time. – Clara Ortega

  1. To “live outside the touch of time” via our siblings, friends and family is a heart-connected life. Thank you for this wonderful quote, Darla. I had never read it.

    • Well, my son would tell you that, as an only child, he had the best of both worlds: lots of friends to hang out with, and then they would go home! I guess you have to have siblings to appreciate having siblings.
